Guest House Wagokoro - A Hidden Gem in Tokyo I recently stayed at Guest House Wagokoro during my trip to Tokyo. It is nestled in a charming residential neighborhood, far from the usual hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The staff at Guest House Wagokoro were exceptional. From the moment I arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The staff's English was excellent. Their friendliness and willingness to assist with any inquiries made my stay all the more pleasant. The rooms were a bit small, which is to be expected in Tokyo, but they were still comfortable and well-maintained. The traditional Japanese decor added a unique touch. I found the rooms to be cozy and inviting. The location of Guest House Wagokoro is one of its best features. Situated in a residential neighborhood, it provided a peaceful atmosphere while being conveniently close to many attractions. One of the highlights of the area is the Higurashi Bakery, just down the street, which serves an amazing breakfast. It's a must-visit spot for anyone staying here. Bakeries of this stature are hard to find in the US anymore. Overall, my stay at Guest House Wagokoro was wonderful. The excellent staff, great service, and comfortable accommodations made for a memorable experience. If you're looking for a quiet, charming place to stay in Tokyo with easy access to fantastic local eateries, this guest house is an excellent choice.

The rooms were very clean and the futons were very comfortable. Many amenities such as fridge, hot water and even coffee was provided. The rooms were cleaned and tidied everyday as well to come back to a pleasant room. The location of the hotel is also very convenient being very near Nippori Station as well as a very short walk to a 24 Hr coin laundry. The neighbourhood where the hotel is at is also very quiet and peaceful. The hotel also requires the key to enter after 11pm so there is no worries for safety. The staff were the nicest bunch of people ever and they were always providing help for me and my friends during our stay. They took initiative to see what we needed assistance with and also extending their courtesy beyond what was required. I highly recommend staying here!

Amazingly helpful staff, and excellent location! Easy 10min walk to Nippori station which is on the Yamanote train line making it super easy to get to all the popular tourist locations without having to switch trains. Set in a semi-residential area its only a 1-2min walk to laundromat, FamilyMart, supermarkets and gorgeous coffee shop/bakery. Rooms are snug by Western standards but more than enough space for essentials even though we had 4 people to a room, and there is a small shared kitchen for guest use next to the reception area which was nice to sit in and have a cuppa in the evenings. 24hr check-in, staff have great English and were always ready to help in any way they could. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely beautiful and new hotel in a lovely residential area of Tokyo. It’s a small walk from both Nippori and Mikawashima stations - if you don’t have luggage and you’re getting back to the hotel for the evening I recommend Mikawashima as it’s a shorter walk and a quieter station. Rooms are in pristine condition, I slept well, and the staff is extremely friendly. The other reviews about the bakery nearby are spot on. I ate a lot of good food during my trip and the bakery was some of the best. For those who are looking for liquors that are hard to find in the states, the nearby Omiya liquor store (cash only!) has friendly staff and I was able to grab a bottle of Blanton’s to bring home.

I like EVERYTHING about it! The staff there is wonderful! One of the main reasons why I will come back to the hotel and EVEN JAPAN! they’re just amazing and the facilities are just as good! Everything is so clean, well organised, just perfect! I arrived from my flight at almost 3 am and there was someone waiting for me, he helped me with my luggage, prepared some slippers for me, and told me we could do the paper work in the morning, that I should just rest first after a long flight. The bathrooms are SO CLEAN! honestly everything about this place is perfect! I highly recommend it!
